If you have light eyebrows, you will love this little secret I am about to share. It saves time, saves money, and gives you natural, fuller looking brows you can actually see, even without makeup. I wish someone had told me this years ago, especially before vacations and pool days when my brows disappeared the moment I stepped outside.

Why Light Brows Disappear So Easily

Women with blonde, light brown, gray, or thinning brows know the struggle. Light brow hairs are often finer, softer, and naturally lower in pigment. This means they reflect sunlight instead of absorbing it, so they appear lighter and sometimes almost invisible, especially once makeup is removed.

Water makes them fade even more. Chlorine, salt water, sunscreen, and bright sunlight all make brows look even lighter than they are. The result is brows that disappear quickly and stay faint until makeup is reapplied.

Salon tinting helps, but it takes time, costs money, and the color can be unpredictable. I have walked out with brows that were way too dark and not at all what I expected. I looked like a clown. Yes, that happened to me a long time ago, but not anymore thanks to this routine.

The Trick That Works Every Time

There is a simple at home method that makes light brows look fuller and more defined in minutes. It uses something easy to find, inexpensive, and surprisingly effective, Just For Men Mustache and Beard. Yes, this is the trick you have been waiting for. It is easy, quick, and almost foolproof.

Tinting at home changed everything for me. I can control the color, the timing, and the intensity. I can go to the pool or head on vacation and still have brows you can actually see. No makeup needed and no disappearing brows in water or sunlight.

Tinting also makes tweezing easier. You can finally see every tiny hair clearly which helps you avoid over tweezing or missing patches.

The process takes less than ten minutes from start to finish, and one box lasts for months. I tint my brows about once a month, and I usually do not wait until all the color has faded. I like keeping a little color so I can still see the brow shape clearly.

A Few Quick Tips Before You Start

I recommend tinting in the evening after your makeup is off. Your skin is clean, your brows are visible, and you are not rushed.

If you are nervous about shaping or tweezing, consider having your brows professionally shaped either before or after doing your first tint. Some women feel more comfortable getting them shaped before tinting so they can follow a clear line. Others prefer to tint first so the aesthetician can see the full brow and create the most natural shape. Choose whatever makes you feel most confident.

Just For Men comes in several shades so you can choose the one that fits your brows best. The application process is the same for every color. Light Brown is the shade I use, and I recommend choosing a shade lighter than you think you need because it is easier to build deeper later than to correct a brow that turns out too dark. Here are the shade options.

Have your items ready before you begin for the easiest experience.

✓ Just For Men Product
Choose the Just For Men Mustache and Beard shade that matches your brows.

✓ A wash cloth you do not mind staining
The tint will leave stains on light or white towels.

✓ A close up mirror
The MIYADIVA 20X Magnifying Mirror gives a sharp, close view for both tinting and tweezing. It has strong suction cups so you can use both hands with ease, and it is small enough to pack for travel.

✓ Tweezers
The Rubis Classic Tweezer is my favorite for precise shaping.

✓ A dermaplaning razor
I use a Tinkle Razor for soft, fine hairs around the brows.

✓ An eyebrow brush
I recommend the Docolor Eyebrow Brush Duo set since the angled brushes make it easy to line and shape your brows, and the spoolies work well for blending and grooming both brows and lashes.

✓ Facial soap
I like the CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser because it is fragrance free and paraben free, so it removes leftover tint without irritating the skin. I use it every day because it leaves my skin feeling clean without being stripped.

Step 1

Squeeze an equal amount of each tube into the plastic tray that comes in the box. One tube holds the color base and the other is the developer. Matching amounts helps the color process evenly.

Step 2

Blend the products using the brush included in the kit. I prefer using the firm end of the brush rather than the bristle end since less product gets wasted while mixing.

Step 3

Apply the mixture to your eyebrows with the brush. I start with a light first coat and set a five minute timer. This is when I use the MIYADIVA 20X Magnifying Mirror. It gives a clear, close view so I can see every fine hair and touch up any lighter spots while the color sets.

Step 4

When the timer ends, wipe off the tint with a warm wash cloth. Use a little facial soap if needed.

Step 5

Shape your brows. I use the Rubis Tweezer for precise tweezing and a Tinkle Razor for soft hairs around the brow. The MIYADIVA mirror helps here too since you can see even the smallest hairs clearly.
